About the Artist

Dawn Malicki is a self-taught artist. Born in 1970 in Perth Amboy, NJ, Dawn took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon. Throughout her childhood, she developed an appreciation for art and searched for all the ways she could express her creativity. She would often sit and draw or paint for hours experimenting with different mediums and subject matter. Years of artistic expression made it clear that her life would be centered upon her passion for art. Dawn has taken this passion and has made it her own by creating art on glass. She focuses her subject matter on animals which she is inspired by through sharing her life with her feathered and furry family members. She also shares her life with her husband Joe, her son Joey and her daughter Amanda (who is also a budding artist!). She continues to be a strong supporter of animal rescue and welfare and is an active member of several avian groups.
